Important: Coverage varies by plan. Each insurance policy has different deductibles, copays, and coverage limits. We can verify your benefits prior to your first session to help you understand your out-of-pocket costs. Reach out to us with your insurance information, and we'll check your coverage details for you.

Private Pay & Out-of-Network (OON)

Many clients choose private pay for the flexibility and privacy it offers. When you pay privately, you avoid diagnostic labels being submitted to insurance companies, and your treatment plan can be tailored entirely to your goals without insurer requirements.

Out-of-Network Benefits:

If you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance plan, I can provide a Superbill—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement.

How Out-of-Network Reimbursement Works:

  1. Check your benefits: Contact your insurance company to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits. Ask: "What percentage of out-of-network therapy costs will you reimburse?" and "Do I need to meet a deductible first?"

  2. Attend sessions: Pay the session fee at the time of service

  3. Submit your Superbill: After each session, you'll receive a Superbill with the codes your insurance needs. Submit it to your insurer for reimbursement

Why Choose Private Pay?

  • Increased confidentiality: No diagnostic codes or treatment details shared with insurance companies

  • Flexible treatment planning: Sessions tailored entirely to your needs, not insurance requirements

  • No pre-authorization delays: Start therapy when you're ready

  • Convenience: Evening and weekend appointments available via secure telehealth throughout Massachusetts

Coordinated care: When helpful, I work with your primary care provider and dietitian to support comprehensive treatment
