FAQs: Therapy, Telehealth,Fees
& Getting Started
Welcome. It is natural to have questions before starting therapy. We have put together answers here to help you feel comfortable with the process. We offer warm, professional virtual care to adults across Massachusetts.
Getting Started & Scheduling
- 01
The first step is to schedule an initial evaluation. In this appointment, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, your goals, and any relevant history that can help guide your care. From there, we’ll decide together how to move forward.
- 02
Availability changes quickly. We aim to schedule your first session as soon as possible after our initial consultation. If we do not have an immediate opening, we can discuss options for a waiting list or help you find referrals to other trusted clinicians in nearby cities.
- 03
Individual sessions last 50 minutes. The total time you spend in care is based on your goals. Some clients achieve their main goals in a few months, while others choose longer term support for deeper, lasting change. We will regularly check in on your progress together.
- 04
Scheduled sessions are the main time for our therapeutic work. We do not provide crisis services (see the Crisis & Safety section below). Brief calls or emails can be used for scheduling or quick questions, but deeper emotional discussions must always wait for our session time.
Telehealth & Technology
- 01
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts. I provide telehealth services to any adult physically located anywhere across Massachusetts at the time of the session. My practice is based in Wellesley, MA, and I am proudly serving the neighborhood and the entire state.
- 02
Virtual therapy is effective for most adult issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. It offers freedom and privacy, allowing you to access care from the comfort of your own space. We will talk about whether it is a good fit for you during our first consultation.
- 03
You need a strong internet connection, a quiet and private space, and a computer or smartphone with a working camera and microphone. We use a secure, encrypted platform to protect your confidentiality.
Specialties & Fit
- 01
My main specialties are Anxiety, Depression, and Eating Disorders/Body Image. I also have deep experience helping clients with Trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, grief, self esteem, and life changes. My therapy approach is integrated, using tools from Psychodynamic, ACT, DBT, and Mindfulness.
- 02
The most important factor in good therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. Our first virtual consultation is designed for this exact purpose. It allows both of us to make sure my style and your needs match well before we start treatment.
- 03
Homework is assigned only when it feels helpful and is based on your individual needs. You won’t be expected to do homework if it doesn’t feel right for you. However, many clients find that practicing skills between sessions can support stronger progress and greater symptom reduction.
Fees, Insurance & Policies
- 01
The fee for an individual 50 minute virtual session is $220. Payment is due at the time of service, usually by Venmo.
- 02

I require 24 hours notice for all cancellations. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be responsible for the full session fee, as that time was set aside for you.
- 04
Yes. If I am out of network with your insurance plan, I can provide you with a superbill. A superbill is a detailed receipt that you can send to your insurance company to request payment for a portion of the fee.
Crisis & Safety
- 01
I do not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are having a mental health emergency, experiencing thoughts of self harm, or feel unsafe, please call 911 immediately, go to your nearest emergency room, or call the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988. Your safety is always the first priority.
- 02
Confidentiality is essential to ethical therapy. All communication and records are kept strictly private and follow state and federal privacy laws. We will review the limits of confidentiality (situations where disclosure is required by law, such as immediate threat of harm) in detail during our first session.
- 03
Yes, with your written consent. Collaboration is often helpful for your overall care. We can communicate with your primary care doctor (PCP), dietitian (RD), or psychiatrist to make sure your treatment is well coordinated.
